Custom Designed Kitchen L-Shape plus island

Published on June 25, 2012 by in Kitchens

Late last year I was referred to a client by his brother, who I have worked with on quite a few projects over the years. I was asked to design up this kitchen in a shadow line look with no handles, hi gloss black 2pac and 2 tone satin grey 2pac. We also incorporated glass splash backs with a coarse silver paint to the back, 60mm Caesar stone Oyster tops, led strip lighting to the splashbacks and under the island, blum tipon aventos to fridge run overheads and tipon touch release to all other overheads. Along with using the Blumotion for Metabox to all the drawers, inner drawers to pantry and the back mounted sink waste with twin drawer bin, this design came together to create a stunning kitchen. Between the client and myself, we came up with the custom designed kitchen shown in the 3d drawings attached. This was one

2pac shadowline no handle kitchen

Published on June 24, 2012 by in Kitchens

Last year, a customer of mine called looking for a kitchen design to suit her tastes. She was in the process of renovating her Queenslander in Hendra. The design called for an L-shape style layout, with a large island bench and the fridge space and pantry off in a little nook. Originally the design was based around the touch to open look in 2pac, but after mentioning to me that she had seen the shadow line look, I was happy to oblige. This is a style I have done many times over the last 7 or so years, and a look I seem to specialise in. I incorporated the back mounted waste under the sink so that I could include an undersink twin drawer bin, a semi integrated Miele dishwasher and with the extra height to the benchtop the upright stove required a false floor to be put in under

2pac entertainment unit

Published on October 6, 2011 by in Furniture

Today I had a chance to go out and take a photo of this entertainment unit. Its a 4.4mtr long cabinet suspended off the floor with pocket doors to centre. The client doesn’t like to see their television so it sits inside the cabinet with the pocket doors. The finish was 2pac designer white satin to all surfaces and the use of tipon touch release door openers keeps the lines clean with no handles

2pac Kitchen at Bridgeman Downs

Published on January 30, 2010 by in Kitchens

In October 09 I was asked to start on a kitchen at Bridgeman downs. After meeting with the clients earlier in the year and discussing their needs and ideas, we came up with a design to suit the room that required quite a few changes. Some of these changes meant removing walls completely and having new support beams put into the ceiling to be structural for the story above. The kitchen was designed with a no handle look, all blum softclose drawers, tip on to the doors, aluminium frosted glass frame doors as shown in the photos, latte and chocolate 2pac colours, brushed aluminium kickboards and Quantum Quartz pearly shores stone tops.

No Handle Look

Published on May 23, 2009 by in Products

In our ever changing environment, kitchens have moved beyond the need of having handles to open the doors and drawers. Blum have released some great products for achieving this look. Firstly there is “tip-on”, which is used for having touch release doors. This is easily installed by drilling a 10mm hole into the gable, rail or bottom of a cabinet and then attaching the metal plate to the back of the door to allow the magnet to hold it closed. Tip-on only requires a soft touch to open the door and can be used on melamine, wood, metal and glass doors. As long as unsprung hinges are used on the doors, the door will open to a comfortable point to be able to open it the rest of the way. Ideally I use Tip-on on servery doors as a foot release door, it has become the perfect accessory for dealing

Published on May 20, 2009 by in Kitchens

I have just finished this kitchen in New Farm, there was also some vanities and laundry but the rooms weren’t ready for photos yet. The finishes used are designer white 2pac on square edge profiled doors, galaxy black 40mm quantum quartz stone benchtops, aluminium handles, blum softclose doors and tandembox drawers to all and extras of twin tidy bin aventos lift hinge and wari corner to the blind corner. I’ve added alot of pics here to show all of these options.
