Trophy Cabinet

Published on May 29, 2013 by in Furniture

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an update, so thought I’d best post something new. Yesterday we installed a trophy cabinet for Jimboomba Thunder Football Club. We used Flexpanel Latte Fineline as the melamine fronts and open shelves, all working with sliding door tracks and locks.

Custom Kitchen, Laundry, Office and Furniture

Mid 2012 a client that I had met at the Courier mail home show that I display at annually asked me to custom design their kitchen, laundry, office, dining room and living room furniture. We came up with using a flat panel with bevelled edge look to all the doors and drawers throughout the living room, kitchen and dining room, and we used Flexpanel Designer white sheen 1mm pvc edge doors to the laundry and office along with Laminex pure mineral stone diamond gloss postformed tops. On the furniture we went with low iron glass fit into a 2pac benchtop. The kitchen also had 40mm quantum quartz tops and glass splash backs. Hardware used was Blum white tandembox drawers, blum hinges with blumotion, LED strip lighting to the kitchen with LED downlights in the overheads and 228mm handles. The coffee table was a design I came up with after offering

2pac custom designed kitchen in logan village

Published on February 23, 2013 by in Kitchens

Back in September 2012, I was asked to design and install a kitchen for a client in Logan village, who also happen to be part of the Jimboomba Thunder Football Club that I sponsor. The kitchen design from the outset required having a central brick wall removed from the house, a return brick wall plastered up and some modifications made to the windows to work with increased bench height that I had designed into the kitchen. We finished all the doors and panels in a designer white gloss 2pac, with aluminium finger pull handles fitted into the top of every drawer. We also made use of Blum’s tipon for the pantry doors to allow for no handles, along with Blums metabox with blumotion and tandembox drawers to all the cabinets. Along with the extra thick stone tops and the red glass splash backs, I’m sure you will fine the design

Custom Designed Vanity in Greenbank

Published on November 25, 2012 by in Vanities

My client from greenbank sent over some photos of their vanity that I had recently installed for them. As you can see from the photos the whole look has turned out very good and definitely makes the Ensuite renovation worth the effort. I have used Laminex New Graphite for the doors and tops in a horizantal grain pattern which meant having to align all the components on the sheet before machining them, to ensure the grain lined up all the way through. With the addition of Grass nova pro softclose drawer runners, blumotion softclose to the hinges, a large narrow drawer for use as a clothes hamper, hafele yarra # 8 handles in a stainless steel finish and a door mounted bin to finish off the accessories, this vanity is very functional. The only real complication was having to make the upper drawers wrap around the basins sink wastes, which

2pac Custom coffee table now finished

Published on November 18, 2012 by in Furniture

I’ve been meaning to post this for a few weeks now. The two pac custom coffee table that Jacob and I were making for a client is now been supplied to them. The finishes were 2pac 100% gloss white, 50mm high aluminium adjustable feet and low iron clear glass insert. The customers are very happy with the final product and as you will see in the photos, it works well with the 2pac entertainment unit that I supplied at the same time.

Custom designed 2pac coffee table

Published on September 21, 2012 by in General

So this week, one of the jobs I have to make is a custom designed coffee table to compliment an entertainment unit that I’m making for a customer along with a heap of other stuff. After getting all the preparation work completed this morning, I thought to myself this is something that could have progress photo potential for my blog. Which in turn lead to me taking these pics. At this stage it’s taken me and Jacob my apprentice around 4 hours to fully prepare the legs, base and rails. We have had to mark out where all the components need to be routered first. The best thing about this is I don’t have the big machines that most work shops would use, so I use a table I whipped together years ago and mounted my plunge router under it. Then with the use of fixing boards in different positions,

Custom Designed Kitchen

Published on July 7, 2012 by in Kitchens

Recently I started a post where I had designed a kitchen along the client’s ideas and come up with this custom designed kitchen style. This was the kitchen that I had decided to have displayed in the November issue of Queensland kitchens and bathroom magazine, to be available very soon. I met the photographer on site on Wednesday and found that they were great to work with. I’m pretty certain that I will be booking them for other photo shoots on projects that i have completed very soon. Here is some web ready images that they took for me. The shots are of the kitchen I posted a link to above but as you can see, there is a massive difference between my (non professional photographer) shots, and a professional photographer’s shots. This as I mentioned is a style that I have done quite a few times over the last

Custom Designed Kitchen L-Shape plus island

Published on June 25, 2012 by in Kitchens

Late last year I was referred to a client by his brother, who I have worked with on quite a few projects over the years. I was asked to design up this kitchen in a shadow line look with no handles, hi gloss black 2pac and 2 tone satin grey 2pac. We also incorporated glass splash backs with a coarse silver paint to the back, 60mm Caesar stone Oyster tops, led strip lighting to the splashbacks and under the island, blum tipon aventos to fridge run overheads and tipon touch release to all other overheads. Along with using the Blumotion for Metabox to all the drawers, inner drawers to pantry and the back mounted sink waste with twin drawer bin, this design came together to create a stunning kitchen. Between the client and myself, we came up with the custom designed kitchen shown in the 3d drawings attached. This was one

2pac shadowline no handle kitchen

Published on June 24, 2012 by in Kitchens

Last year, a customer of mine called looking for a kitchen design to suit her tastes. She was in the process of renovating her Queenslander in Hendra. The design called for an L-shape style layout, with a large island bench and the fridge space and pantry off in a little nook. Originally the design was based around the touch to open look in 2pac, but after mentioning to me that she had seen the shadow line look, I was happy to oblige. This is a style I have done many times over the last 7 or so years, and a look I seem to specialise in. I incorporated the back mounted waste under the sink so that I could include an undersink twin drawer bin, a semi integrated Miele dishwasher and with the extra height to the benchtop the upright stove required a false floor to be put in under
